Legally Blonde The Musical was recorded in September 2007 and aired on MTV. Airing the audition process for Elle, Bailey Hanks won the competition. Hanks played the role from July 23, 2008 until the production closed on October 19, 2008. Legally Blonde The Musical played 595 performances and 30 previews on Broadway. The West End's Legally Blonde The Musical opened January 13, 2010 at the Savoy Theatre. The West End production was nominated for five Laurence Olivier Awards and won three of them, including Best New Musical. Legally Blonde The Musical has toured the US, UK and been produced internationally.
